The New moon is a great time to reflect and cleanse your energy. Set your intentions for what you wish to attract this new moon cycle and what you would like to release from the moon cycle that has just ended. Breathe deeply.

Things you can do on a new moon:
Journal
-Write down your wishes, dreams and intentions. Be as specific as you can.
-Give thanks to the Universe (Or your chosen dedication) for hearing your truth
Sage yourself and home
Sage yourself and your home or burn incense. This allows a release of accumulated negative energy and cleanses the environment and self in order to prepare for what we are inviting in with this next cycle. Sage or herb smoke and essential oil can be used.
While burning the herb you can repeat a Mantra, you could use one of these are create your own:
I release the need for those things in my life that are not serving my purpose or higher self. I am not afraid to let go. In their place I receive love, happiness and abundance.
I am compassionate toward myself as well as others. I reflect on my past and allow for forgiveness to fill me.
I am reborn with this New Moon
I embrace the new beginnings opening to me this New Moon
I release that which is not mine, all obstacles to my path, limiting beliefs, fears and doubts, externalized desire, all that which is no longer in alignment with my highest self for the greatest good.
Self care and nurturing
A relaxing bath or shower with essential oils
Cook a good meal and enjoy every mouth full without distractions
Write a list of everything you are grateful for
Create a list of people, places, lessons you are grateful for, start with listing 10 items and challenge yourself to expand the list
Charge your crystals
Place your crystals in view of the moon. I personally dissolve Himalayan salt in some water and add my crystals to the container which I leave outside for the night.
Organize and clean
Make a vision board
Rest and Meditate
Close any due tasks or discussions
Paint your dreams
Express yourself creatively. It does not have to be a masterpiece. Express yourself freely and be aware of where you mind goes in the process.
Visualize what you need to release, write it down and burn it, let it go.
Write it on a piece of paper and burn it in a heat proof dish. As the paper burns, visualize it leaving your mind and physical body.
